If you would like to be able to take payments online for products that you are selling, there are three options to go with.

PayPal - Click on Merchant Services and follow the instructions. You will receive in an email the "Order Now" button which will also include a lot of code. Copy and paste the entire set onto your web page in the area you would like the button. You can then set the price to what you want it to be in the code.

This option will not require you to submit an application for an Internet Merchant Account.

Option 2 would be to find a server that has store software already built in. You just add in your products in their online menu system and you will have a database of products. You will have full control over adding, deleting and changing your products. One drawback to this option is if you change hosting companies, you start from square one. Adding in all your products again!

Option 3 is to buy an online software package. VPASP is a good choice for this. It comes in several flavors so you can choose which option packages you will need. The great part about this software is no matter who hosts you, just upload the software to the new server company and the sore will instantly work. The drawback is to set the store up, a novice will likely need assistance.

For both options 2& 3, you will need submit an application for an internet mechant account. But with both packages you can use a brick & mortar merchant account if you already have one. The transactions will need to be run through that before a credit card charge will appear on a customer's account. But this saves the expense and having to subit a credit application.
