Proper Structure
The proper construction of a website consists of many important things. Like a story from a book, you have a beginning, a table of contents, an ending, and most importantly, knowing who your target audience is. The latter will help you decide what kind of website you want to build.
If your website is catering to the corporate world, you can build in many more things such as Flash, larger images, and videos. They are much more likely to have a broadband type of connection. If your target audience is focused on those who may use dial-up, you would go with smaller images, no Flash, etc.
Once you have determined your audience you can begin building. For this class we will go with a simple, but standard format. It will have many more things included than a normal website built by a beginner. Such are meta tags (which help you with search engine placement), naming schemes for the page titles and html names, and table to name a few.
